Friends, I began writing this year’s episode in March, just one week after Putin invaded Ukraine. After composing a few stanzas, I suspended the project. Given Russia’s nostalgia for its former glories, obsession with NATO, and hatred for the independent Ukrainian spirit, I anticipated that the war would drag on. And thus it has. But I finished the episode today, Saturday, December 3rd — even though it’s impossible to predict what will happen between now and Christmas Eve. As with…..

Dear friends, March 20th, This Week in America interviewed me about what’s leading me to promote an opening in the Catholic Church for some men, in certain circumstances, to be married and serve as priests. I’ve made it clear that I am not going to contradict Catholic faith and moral teachings, but simply want the discipline of celibacy to no longer be absolutely binding on all those whom God is calling to serve. This debate has been going on from…..
Dear friends, this interview is audio only for now. By April 1st, it should be available and posted with the visuals. It describes how I came to the Catholic Church, what a difference it made to become a father in the family sense, and how I believe the Catholic Church can transition, step by step, to allow some priests in some circumstances to be married men. I think you’ll enjoy this. As for the websites, ministry, and GoFundMe campaign, these…..
I hope this finds you in good health and spirits. The five-volume Dear Gabriel series is nearly finished and looking for a publishing house. I’m set to self-publish two of those volumes, though, if no one offers an advance! Meanwhile, Ric Bratton’s interview about my life and books has been posted on YouTube, and the audio version will air in two weeks. I’ll notify you as soon as I have the date. Here’s the link: //www.youtube.com/watch?v=En7759vfIZk Thanks, and God bless you…..
Dear Friends, Gabriel marks four years today, December 7th, since he was baptized in the Cathedral so beloved to me and my own personal history — that holy place where his parents also were married. Tomorrow marks one of the most important anniversaries in my life, as well. That sacred event also took place in the Cathedral, in the very same spot where Gabriel received the gift of New Life in Christ. So as we celebrate our national feast, the…..
Dear Friends, Greetings for the feasts of All Saints and All Souls as well — remembering that we all have an eternal destiny, and praying that our lives on earth will pave the way to an everlasting journey in glory and blessedness. Catholics dedicate this month to intercession on behalf of those who have died. We believe that no one enters heaven without being prepared, and that this preparation begins on earth, but continues in the afterlife. Many other Christians…..
